Miss California to Star in Adult Movies?

Controversial pageant queen offered $1 million to appear in a Vivid-Celeb imprint.

Beauty queen Carrie Prejean has generated her fair share of controversy since last month's Miss USA pageant, in which she missed a shot at the crown after blundering on a gay marriage question posed by Judge Perez Hilton (a tabloid blogger who is openly gay). A couple days ago she was at the top of the news cycle again, this time for topless photographs supposedly taken four years ago, when Prejean was a seventeen-year-old model. Prejean defended the photos and objected to their release on a gossip web site, saying that: 1) She is a pious Christian. 2) "Models take pictures." She may have gotten herself deeper in the hole as far as pageants go. Miss California pageant directors Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler met behind closed doors yesterday to decide whether Prejean could keep her crown, but their verdict is still pending.

But the marriage gaffe turned out to be a blessing in disguise, since it helped Prejean garner a conservative fanbase, and ensured an advertising spot in National Organization for Marriage's campaign against gay marriage. Likewise, the nudie pictures brought an unexpected stroke of good luck. In a press release issued today, the internationally-known adult film company Vivid Entertainment Group announced plans to offer a lucrative deal to the disgraced Miss California -- $1 million to star in a forthcoming film on its Vivid Celeb Entertainment imprint. She'd be in good company: Past Vivid celebs include Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, Kim Kardashian and Ray J, Jimi Hendrix, and Vince Neil. Prejean would apparently be a boon for vivid co-chair Steven Hirsch, who said he was mesmerized by the pageant queen's "talent and beauty." For Prejean, it might be a pyrrhic victory.

So now the question is: What's a good title for Prejean's adult film debut?

Delicious. I like how you inform blog readers of the EastBayExpress who Hilton is, not because it adds to authenticity but because it's so entertainingly desperate to be at all so. Good for you "Rachel to get your career in writing going with Yellow Journalism, you are a credit to right-wing fascists everywhere, in method if not in principle. How absurd! How amazing that no depth is too low! As if "Nailin Paylin" was what ended the McCain campaign LOL. Your writing is brilliant! Just not in any way you might be thinking- after all, it goes very far in burying gay marriage, crushing it in fact, in the minds of the voting public. In equating Carrie Prejean with pornography, you help finish the job that a photoshopped picture just couldn't. I long career awaits you, young Rachel, writing for websites like thedirty.com- which is a website run by a misogynist alcoholic. You will no doubt find appropriate company in self-loathing, writ between each line that smears just another gorgeous woman with an opinion.
